Week 5: Facebook

I have had my Facebook business account for about 2 years now, this is where alot of my customers get all their information on ordering their cake, such as flavors, decor, sizes and prices. I have uploaded a lot of my work so people can see and share my post.

On my Facebook business account, I have learned about the difference in post reach and post engagement, post reach is traffic, meaning people who see my account pop up on their timeline from time to time, they pretty much zoom through my account just checking out my photos and posts but not personally engaging, but never the less still is a form of advertising for my business. Post engagement is people who search for your account, leaving comments, likes, tagging others, and reviews that can lead to a new client. Sharing my post and tagging me helps gain more clientele and publicizes my business. Facebook and Instagram are my two main sources for advertising, and recruiting clients. Most of my referrals come from posts that were shared, tagged, and reviews left on my pages.

As Facebook continues to grow, it is becoming one of the largest advertising tool available to local small businesses with little or no advertising budget, being able to create and customize your own page, uploading the content of what your business consist, it has helped myself and many other small businesses expand and develop a format for our advertising.  Facebook offers many different tools to help you grow your community with things like advertisement videos, photos, pop-ups, and connect with Instagram allowing you to share the same content on both social platforms. The more your willing to invest in the advertisements the more your willing to gain what Facebook has to offer.

In conclusion, I have learned the importance of making your business page inviting, and user-friendly. Keeping the aesthetic in all your posts so everything looks uniformed and organized is important to keep customers engaged with your post, therefore allowing your posts to be shared, commented, and liked resulting in growth.

I reviewed and commented on these students Facebook pages.
